THE DIRECTOR – JOSH
Who I Am
Thanks for stopping by to find out more about us. I’m Josh Chesterman, a 30-something outdoorsy type of guy with a passion for working with people – all kinds! I love meeting all of the amazing participants,, families, support coordinators, and providers in this industry!
I’m a dad to two rambunctious, amazing kids and married to my darling, Mel. I was assistant manager at a busy outdoor education/recreation facility for 10 years where I developed & facilitated camp programs, including week-long disability support and at-risk youth camps. During that time I obtained my diploma of business and leadership management. I love volunteering for various community and church-based youth programs. I previously worked and studied in bushland conservation and in 2015 I spent a year with my wife abroad studying at a church in Redding, California.
My core values include family, faith, honesty, well-being, and adventure.
My dream is to eventually build an adventure wellness center that offers SIL, camping, adventure therapy, skills development and well-being programs for the community.

Who I Am
Hi, I’m Micah Chesterman, a man in my late 20s with over a year of experience support worker. I’ve had great feedback from clients about my calm demeanor and empathetic attitude as we achieve their goals without stress. I’ve had my own struggle to overcome social anxiety, so I understand how difficult it can be and I’m passionate to help others.
I love working with people in this industry who have the tools and skills to develop better well-being.

I love indoor activities that promote well-being…
I’d love to share with you the benefits of hiking, fishing, exploration, and camping as we Venture Together!
I Love To
I love video games, movies and TV shows. I love to research my client’s interests and I’m always up for a good chat about politics, economics or other engaging topics. Who I Am
I am a traveller, living everywhere from Mount Hotham, to NW Tasmania, to the Great Lakes and the Great Ocean Road. I have worked in all fields, from different campsites, farms, cafes and restaurants and working with young people everywhere. I always enjoy giving something go, getting to know new people and hearing about their journey. I get around my teams during the season, Hawks for the AFL, but more importantly NRL with the Storm. I enjoy finding new music. I am also currently studying, on the pathway to becoming a paramedic with a diploma in non-emergency patient transport.
I always enjoy giving something go, getting to know new people and hearing about their journey
What I Offer
I offer a kind and understanding ear without judgment. Let’s chat to see if we can get to the bottom of any issue that we might face. I enjoy getting to know a person well and seeing how I can help them achieve their goals and become their best self. I love to have a laugh and to enjoy the good things in life. I’m eager to get outside and get my hands on a new challenge or adventure.
I Love To
I love the great outdoors, always have and always will. From a leisurely stroll to a hike that lasts a few days or more. Camping is my happy place! I enjoy the snow, particularly snowboarding and the feeling of fresh powder under my board. I enjoy movies or watching a good TV show. I have always been an avid cook and know that working in kitchens for nine years has taught me a thing or two! I am just starting to get into fishing and am enjoying playing around with that.
